When people come to visit during the holidays when you live in Sarasota, there’s not much to prep inside the house since most of the time is still spent outside enjoying all that Sarasota has to offer.
Make sure to take a stroll or two down Main Street or around St. Armand’s Circle, window shopping and grabbing some delicious food to eat. You can’t forget to taste the gelato at Settimis Gelato or home made ice cream spots.
And, if you like the water as much as I do, spending some time along Marina Jack’s waterfront area and sipping a margarita at O’Leary’s Tiki Bar is a must.
Walking and taking in the sunrise or sunset on Siesta Key Beach or sitting and reading a good book on Turtle Beach when it’s still nice and warm. Yoga lovers can check out the free yoga instruction and don’t forget the Drum Circle on Sunday nights! Get there by 5 before it gets too dark!
You can usually find live entertainment for no charge at local restaurants if you enjoy the music scene. The Thursday Sarasota Herald Tribune offers a pull out section with things to do. You can go online to make your list and check it twice before deciding where to go when!
How about cultural events? Maybe you’d like to check out the exhibits at the Ringling Museum or attending a show or two. The Muse is a superb restaurant at the Ringling. No admission is needed. Just walk into the lobby and turn right. YUMMY!
If there are children visiting, it’s always a fantastic idea to get tickets for the Sailor Circus, a holiday circus production featuring students ages 8-18, or spend a few hours at the Big Cat Habitat, an ever-growing large-animal rescue and a permanent home for dozens of exotic animals, offers placement for animals in need, and works to educate the public about animal care and conservation.
While your guests are in town, maybe they’ll be looking for their own home and will contact me at 941-504-2537 to help them out! I’ll be in town enjoying my own guests during this lovely holiday season, but I’m sure I’ll have some time to show some tremendous homes that will satisfy any criteria.
And, if you have any questions about other things to do and see, please give me a call or text and I’ll make some other suggestions based on your interests!
